Thermal insulation boards AKOTERM FLAX are made of natural flax fiber (85%) and a binder component (15%), evenly distributed over the entire volume of the plate.
Due to the unique arrangement of the fibers and the uniformity of the products, the shape and size of the plates are preserved during the entire service life, both horizontally and vertically. Modern equipment allows you to get durable natural heat-insulating "breathable" material.
Flax is a unique plant. The birthplace of flax is ancient India - it was there that about 9 thousand years ago the first flax processing factory appeared. No other material can “breathe” like flax. In addition, it absorbs moisture well and at the same time, moist flax dries quickly.
Flax is an excellent thermal insulation material. Static charges do not form in flax fiber products. Also, flax has antiseptic properties and is a hypoallergenic material.
Flax paper is very strong and crunchy. That is why linen is one of the main materials in the production of banknotes. American dollars, for example, are made of such paper.
In the manufacture of AKOTERM FLAX insulation boards, a bicomponent polyester fiber is used as a binding component. At the request of the customer, AKOTERM FLAX insulation boards can be additionally impregnated with a flame retardant. Flax boards are characterized by excellent thermal conductivity and sound absorption, protecting the room from heat, cold and noise (see table).

For reliable joining of plates between each other, it is recommended that the width of the plates exceed the distance between the runs by 1-2.5 cm. Then the material will completely fill the space and will be securely fixed in the structure without additional fasteners. And also it is guaranteed to help avoid the formation of cracks and gaps and the deterioration of sound insulation at the joints.
The width of the profile should correspond to the thickness of the insulation. For a standard partition, using a 50 mm thick insulation, select a profile 50 mm wide.
Flax insulation must not block ventilation openings and must not come in contact with heat sources.
Thermal insulation boards are easy to cut, do not break and do not crumble. For cutting insulation it is convenient to use an electric saw, tape or circular saw.
Thermal insulation boards AKOTERM FLAX are used both for internal and external wall insulation. The material is optimal for low-rise construction (residential buildings, buildings and industrial premises). Ideal for use in the insulation of wooden and frame houses, as well as buildings of brick and other materials. The price of flax insulation fully justifies its quality and reliability.
Thermal insulation boards AKOTERM FLAX are suitable for structures that have a difficult humidity operation mode (pitched roofs, attics). Properly executed roof insulation avoids the formation of icicles and provides additional sound insulation to the attic floor rooms, dampening the sounds of rain, hail or noisy streets.
Warming and soundproofing of the flooring plays an important role in maintaining a comfortable temperature and reducing the noise level in the living room. The use of AKOTERM FLAX insulation slabs for ceilings ensures the conservation of thermal energy, which means that it reduces heating costs. Lightweight, "breathable" and hypoallergenic material is one of the best options for insulation, has all the necessary properties for insulation of floors.
Packages with linen insulation must be stored in a dry, closed place, protected from rain, wind, snow and shock, in stacks up to 2 m high. When storing insulation packages on the street, they must be drawn up on a pallet and not touch the ground. Insulation bags should be opened immediately before installation.
